“O Allah, I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds that will bring me closer to Your love.”
(Sunan At-Tirmidhi, 3490)

This prayer illustrates a desire not to simply love Allah but that which should surround one–including companions and actions that create nourishment for this affection.

Steps to Increase Your Love for Allah Through Dua

Dua with Firdous: Pray for God with a pure soul as one seeks His love beyond anything else.
Say the Dua Time and Again: Repeat the Dua mentioned above, both during your daily rituals especially during time of solos such as after a salah or during tahajud.
Reflect on Allah’s Blessings: Contemplation over Allah’s numerous blessings inspires thankfulness and strengthens one’s love for Him.
Remembrance of Allah: Repetitive remembrance of Allah by His names and attributes creates a stronger bonding between the believer and his Creator.
Good Deed: Practice acts of worship and charity that make you closer to Allah.

The Benefits of Loving Allah

Love for Allah generates enormous rewards in both the worlds. So, It carries:

Inner Peace: A heart connected to Allah finds peace even in adversity.
Guidance: The love of Allah lights up the way to righteousness.
Acceptance of Deeds: The acts done out of love for Allah have more spiritual value.
Ultimate Reward: In the Hereafter, So , Allah promises Jannah for those who truly love Him and follow His commands.
