Surah NasDarood-e-Tunajjina is a special Islamic prayer (Darood) that is recited by Muslims for seeking blessings and intercession from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is a form of Salawat (salutation) upon the Prophet, invoking Allah’s blessings and mercy on him. The text of Darood-e-Tunajjina is as follows in Arabic:
“اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد، كما صليت على إبراهيم وآل إبراهيم، وبارك على محمد وآل محمد، كما باركت على إبراهيم وآل إبراهيم، إنك حميد مجيد”
Transliteration: Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘aali Muhammad, kama sallayta ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘aali Ibrahim, wa barik ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘aali Muhammad, kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘aali Ibrahim, innaka hamidun majeed.
“O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. And grant peace and blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You granted peace and blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are praiseworthy, majestic.”
